Mr. Sampson has over twenty years of experience in the Property/Casualty Insurance Industry and with specific expertise in complex asbestos, pollution and health hazard claims as well as product liability, mass tort, workers compensation, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, directors and officers, construction defect, commercial auto, aviation, consumer warranty, public entity liability, surety and assumed reinsurance claims.
Mr. Sampson joined RiverStone in 1996 as a claim professional, managing and resolving some of the organization’s largest asbestos, pollution and health hazard claims and coverage disputes. While at RiverStone, Mr. Sampson also held the position of Director of Claims Training and Development where he was responsible for coaching and developing RiverStone’s claim staff. Thereafter, as the Assistant Vice President of the Latent Claims Department, Mr. Sampson was responsible for overseeing and managing RiveStone’s APH Claims staff. Prior to being promoted to Executive Vice President, Mr. Sampson was Vice President of Claims.
Prior to joining RiverStone, Mr. Sampson was with Travelers Insurance Company, specializing in asbestos, pollution and health hazard claims.
Mr. Sampson is a graduate of Bucknell University, where he received a degree in economics.
